1997 Acura CL Keyless Entry Remote Fob Smart Key Programming Instructions


  1. Turn on the ignition switch.
  2. In less than 4 seconds, press the transmitter lock or the unlock button having the transmitter aimed at the keyless receiver unit.
  3. In less than 4 seconds, turn off the ignition switch.
  4. In less than 4 seconds, turn on the ignition switch.  
  5. Repeat Step 2.
  6. Repeat Step 3.
  7. Repeat Step 4.
  8. In less than 4 seconds, press the transmitter lock or unlock button.
  9. Repeat Step 3.
  10. Repeat Step 4.
  11. Repeat Step 8.
  12. Assure you can hear the door actuators.  In less than 4 seconds, press the transmitter lock or unlock button.
  13. In less than 10 seconds, direct the transmitters (three at most) codes you choose to store at the receiver, and press the transmitter lock or unlock buttons.  Assure that you can hear the door lock actuators per stored transmitter code.
  14. Turn off the ignition switch and withdraw the key.
  15. Assure the proper operation.
